Great to meet you!
Clients should know that I bring a warm, laid-back, and direct but caring approach to therapy. I strive to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and free from judgment. My work is rooted in values of non-judgment, collaboration, and empowerment. I view therapy as a partnership and believe that real progress happens when we work together toward your goals.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nicholls State University. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, a local government agency providing therapeutic services, private practice, and nursing homes. These diverse experiences have shaped my approach and helped me support individuals from many different walks of life.
I’ve worked with children as young as six through adults in their 80s, and I have experience addressing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, ADHD, family and relationship issues, and gender identity. I’ve always felt drawn to this work—I truly care about helping others navigate life’s challenges and find their inner strength.
Sessions typically last around 45 minutes, and I may assign homework such as worksheets or journaling prompts to help reinforce what we discuss. These tools are reviewed together in the next session to ensure they’re useful and meaningful for your growth. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more empowered, more hopeful, and better equipped with practical tools to use in your daily life.
