Growing up in a progressive, nonjudgmental household,I cultivated a deep sensitivity towards others, which now underpins my ability to assist them through their stresses.I earned my first graduate degree in General Psychology.Opting to become a mental health counselor was not just a career choice but a heartfelt calling. My training in Accelerated Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) has further honed my appreciation for the importance of pausing to connect with often-overlooked somatic experiences.
I approach therapy with an integrated perspective, drawing from models such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy,Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy,Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Relational Therapy. My professional journey has evolved from working in a hospital setting to undergoing LGBTQIA-informed training. As I advance in my career,my dedication to continuous training remains steadfast, fueling my ambition to be ever-more effective and a compassionate therapist.
The human capacity for self-growth holds immense potential. My role is to guide individuals on a transformative path of self-discovery and self-appreciation, nurturing a more resilient inner foundation. Through therapy, one can achieve heightened self-awareness, paving the way for sustained and meaningful personal evolution. This process aids us in understanding and processing our multifaceted identities, influenced by culture, race, and various sociocultural constructs that mold our existence.
