Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Aglaed Mayorga, a licensed psychologist in California with over 10 + years of clinical training and experience. As a first-generation Latina-American woman from an immigrant family, I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing multiple cultural identities. I've seen how life experiences — trauma, substance use, and other hardships — shape the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate our lives, and I bring a compassionate, understanding approach to every client I work with. I specialize in intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, and narcissistic abuse, with a deep commitment to serving the Latino and Black communities, as well as anyone seeking culturally competent support. 15-minute consultations and therapy sessions are held Monday through Friday, 09:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturdays & Sundays may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out directly by phone or text at (562) 250-4452 to inquire further. My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is rooted in client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), along with other effective methods tailored to each person's needs. I offer therapy sessions in English, Spanish, or a combination of both (Spanglish) to ensure that language is never a barrier to healing. My therapeutic approach is transparent, genuine, and grounded, and helping clients untangle the patterns that have impacted their personal relationships, family dynamics, work, and romantic partnerships. I support individuals and work through communication, struggles, trust issues, and the negative experiences that have shaped or distorted their self-perception. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where they can heal, grow, and step into the best version of themselves.

What you can expect from me

After a free 15-minute video or phone consultation, the initial intake appointment includes a conversation about your needs and reasons for seeking therapy. While progress looks different for everyone, clients often develop greater self-awareness, build healthier relationships, and strengthen their coping skills over time. I enjoy working with individuals who are curious about themselves and open to putting in the effort needed for growth during our sessions.
