Great to meet you!

If anxiety, stress, or low self-esteem have been making it hard to feel like yourself, you do not have to carry that alone. I'm Dr. Ahmet Can, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), and I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, social anxiety, depression, stress, low selfesteem, and life transitions. Therapy with me is a safe, supportive, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, helping you better understand yourself, build confidence, manage life's challenges, and strengthen your emotional well-being. Whether you are going through a difficult transition, feeling overwhelmed, or simply want to grow and thrive, everything starts with you, and I would be honored to be part of your journey. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

My approach to therapy

Life can bring many challenges, and I believe everyone deserves a safe space to talk about their emotions, experiences, and relationships. You don’t have to navigate past, present, or future stressors alone.

Building a trusting, nonjudgmental relationship is an important first step in my approach to therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and empathetic environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself, feel heard, and explore your experiences at your own pace. I also have a strong personal and professional commitment to respecting, supporting, and celebrating diversity.

I work collaboratively with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem. Together, we can develop greater self-awareness, build healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and support your overall mental and emotional well-being.

My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be. Everything starts with you—and together, let’s make it happen. I look forward to working with you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting, comfortable therapeutic relationship. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you would like to work on, and any concerns or goals that are important to you.

There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share anything before you’re ready. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your strengths, challenges, and goals and discuss how we can work collaboratively moving forward. Therapy is a journey, and we’ll take it one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.

I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together!
