Great to meet you!

My decisions to become a licensed mental health professional was inspired by my childhood experiences as a Latina growing up in New York City. As a bilingual and bicultural social worker, it became very important for me to learn as much as I possibly could and somehow work within the community to change the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. I am very interested in the direction that the field of social work is heading in and very determined in my continued professional development.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a holistic approach to therapy. I am a bilingual and bicultural therapist and when I work with individuals or families, I think about how systems impact race, racism, and gender identity. I believe in allowing space for a client's identities to be heard. My passion is bringing quality and affordable mental health services to communities that otherwise are unable to afford such services.

What you can expect from our first session

My main role is to be an advocate for the the individual all while allowing them to set their own goals. Therapy is as individual as the person. This is such a personal journey.
