Great to meet you!

Aimee Bensimhon is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 11 years of clinical experience. She is dedicated to creating a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their mental health and wellness goals. Aimee specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, maternal psychiatry, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, OCD and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I take a collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care. I strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard and supported. My style is warm, conversational, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual, integrating medication management with psychoeducation and therapeutic support.

I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, OCD and ADHD . I have a particular interest in helping individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected rediscover a sense of stability and confidence. Whether you're navigating a recent life change or managing a longstanding mental health challenge, I’m here to help you move toward meaningful, lasting wellness.

Over the past 3 years, I have pursued specialized training in maternal psychiatry and am deeply passionate about supporting women through all stages of their reproductive and maternal mental health journey. This includes care during pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the transition to parenthood. I strive to provide a compassionate, informed, and nonjudgmental space where women can feel understood, validated, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, validated, supported, and empowered with practical tools to navigate their mental health journey. My approach is holistic, meaning I consider the whole person—not just symptoms—including emotional, physical, social, and lifestyle factors that impact well-being. Together, we’ll work to create a personalized plan that may include medication management, mindfulness strategies, psychoeducation, and lifestyle support. My goal is to help clients build insight, restore balance, and feel more in control of their mental and emotional health.
