Great to meet you!

I am Aimee Garsnett; an LPC-MHSP. I graduated from Trevecca University in Nashville with a BS in Education in 2000 and my MA in Counseling in 2011. My two kids are now adults, and I have two young grandchildren. My husband and I have lived in TN since 1995. First as a teacher, and 8 years as a Counselor, I have over 25 years experience serving children; and I have a passion for providing mental health therapy for children. I offer in-home individual and family therapy in the Murfreesboro area.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with a strength-based and solution focused approach. I guide clients in identifying unhealthy thinking patterns and habits while helping them discover their unique strengths and resilience.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients should expect to take away a better understanding of how your feelings are connected to your thoughts and behaviors. In order to improve your feelings or your behaviors you first have to correct your unhealthy thinking and learn to express and communicate your feelings in healthy ways.
