Great to meet you!

I am licensed by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 14 years of professional work experience. I have a Master of Education in Community Counseling. I specialize in helping adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors cope with life challenges. Additionally, I assist individuals with enhancing management of stress and anxiety, emotion regulation, motivation, self-love, and confidence. I also have experience working to mitigate family and relationships conflicts, parenting issues, behavioral challenges, blended family issues, and caregiver issues and stress. Moreover, I teach individuals how to overcome communication barriers, improve self-control, manage divorce and separation, identify life purpose, and improve career difficulties, and money and financial issues.

My approach to therapy

The modalities utilized during treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Reality Therapy. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to support you in that process.

What you can expect from me

During sessions, clients can look forward to having a pleasurable personalized experience with me. I actively listen and respond with empathy and ideas during structured problem solving. I am responsive, attentive, and I bring great energy and insight into sessions. I create an open, warm, and safe atmosphere where thoughts and feelings can be shared and processed without fear of judgment. I assure that clients feel comfortable while working towards living a rich and meaningful life.
