Great to meet you!

Aisha Reikow, PMHNP-BC is a dedicated holistic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who believes true mental wellness begins with treating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. With advanced training in psychiatric care and a passion for integrative healing from the University of Pennsylvania, Aisha blends evidence-based medication management with therapy, lifestyle support, and wellness-focused interventions.

Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and root-cause driven, addressing factors such as stress, sleep, nutrition, trauma, and nervous system balance. Aisha is committed to creating a safe, empowering space where clients feel heard, supported, and equipped to achieve lasting emotional well-being. Aisha serves all populations regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, and sexuality.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is a holistic approach recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to physical health, environment, relationships, lifestyle, and spiritual well-being. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, this approach seeks to understand the root causes of distress and treats the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. By integrating evidence-based medication management, therapeutic support, nutrition, sleep optimization, stress reduction, and trauma-informed care, holistic psychiatric practice empowers individuals to achieve sustainable healing, resilience, and long-term wellness

What you can expect from me

During our initial session, my primary goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you felt heard, respected, and supported. I will approach our conversation with empathy and curiosity, allowing you the time and space to share your experiences, concerns, and goals at your own pace.

I will acknowledge the courage it takes to seek psychiatric care and validate the emotions and challenges you described. Together, we will explore your current symptoms, stressors, personal history, and strengths in a collaborative way, ensuring that you felt involved in the process rather than evaluated or judged.

I will focus on active listening, reflective feedback, and clarifying questions to ensure I fully understand your perspective. We will discuss potential treatment options openly, including medication considerations, therapeutic approaches, and lifestyle factors, emphasizing that all decisions would be made collaboratively and aligned with your values and comfort level.

By the end of our session, my intention is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and hopeful — with a clearer sense of direction and reassurance that you are not navigating this alone. Establishing trust and building a therapeutic alliance is foundational, and I am committed to walking alongside you in your mental health journey.
