Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I bring both professional training and cultural understanding into the therapy space. I completed my Master’s degree in Puerto Rico, where I developed a strong foundation in culturally responsive and client centered care. As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish, allowing clients to express themselves in the language that feels most natural and comfortable.

My background has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of culture, family values, and community in shaping who we are. I understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating different cultural expectations, immigration experiences, generational differences, and identity concerns.

Before working in outpatient mental health, I supported adults in hospice and home care settings. That experience strengthened my compassion and ability to walk alongside individuals and families during difficult transitions. I later expanded my work to include adults and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship challenges.

I strive to create a respectful, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment where you feel seen, heard, and understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly understood; recognizing the importance of culture, family values, and identity in shaping each person’s experience.

My early work in hospice and home care deeply influenced my therapeutic style. Supporting individuals and families through illness, grief, and major life transitions taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and meeting people where they are.

I integrate evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and strengths based strategies. Together, we will explore patterns, build practical coping skills, and increase self-awareness while honoring your cultural background and personal values.

I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to guide, support, and gently challenge you when needed, while empowering you to recognize your strengths and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where you feel safe to share at your own pace. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. I may ask questions about your personal, family, and cultural background to better understand your experiences.

We will also review how I work and begin developing a plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable moving forward.
