Great to meet you!

Bola Obajimi, a licensed therapist, earned his M.A. in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University, Chicago. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 20 years of experience providing services to people with severe mental illness and substance abuse. Also have 5 years experience working with individuals and families of diverse backgrounds with varying psychological issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, anger management, and marital issues.

My approach to therapy

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy in my therapeutic approach. I highlight the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Meaning that, I focus on how what a person is thinking is impacting his/her feelings and dictating his/her behavior. Thus, collaboratively, we will be able to identify your automatic thoughts, highlight their impact on your feelings/behavior, and seek thoughts appraisal for more appropriate affective/behavior outcomes.
