Great to meet you!

I have been a LPC for over 8 years and was really drawn to the profession from a young age. I have experience with working with all ages, from 3 years old up to people in their 70s, and enjoy helping people in whatever stage they are in. I graduated from UNT with my bachelor's in psychology with a minor in counseling, and Sam Houston State University with my Masters in counseling.

My approach to therapy

I use a lot of principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also use Gottman's method since I have reached level 2 training. I really try to meet clients where they are, while still challenging them to grow. I use a combination of questions and reflections to progress the session and think of the counseling process as a collaboration between myself and each client.

What you can expect from me

I hope to help clients feel comfortable and at ease during the first session. I just want to know about what makes you, you. What do you like to do, what has challenged you, what are your hopes and goals for the future? From there we discuss goals for counseling and work towards them using different interventions geared to take you step by step until you accomplish your goal.
