Great to meet you!

My inspiration comes from my mother, Julie, who was a nurse in New York City for 40 years. She led her life with a compassionate mind and a generous heart. I learned by example, that compassion, PLUS the right skills are what we need to make the world a better place, one person at a time. When one of us feels better, we all get better.

My approach to therapy

We all struggle to manage our lives from time to time. This is the moment when we need support the most. Although friends and family mean well, they aren't always equipped to help. We'll start therapy by discussing the issues, create a treatment plan, and then have the session to practice techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Vagal Toning. I will support you in addressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a fresh perspective, and always with self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

Since earning my degree in Counseling from New York University in 1998, my life's work has been devoted to counseling and empowering individuals and families with mental health, learning challenges, adjusting to life events, trauma, grief, and substance misuse. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and children of all ages. I have a diverse family and believe that all of us deserve quality professional care and compassion. My therapeutic style also integrates mindfulness techniques you can use anywhere, that equip and empower you to manage any symptoms or stressors that you are facing. We will practice the skills together so that you can use them in real time and feel better.
