Dr. Alan Schneider

I've been a psychiatrist for over 30 years and have run academic and community treatment centers. I have board certifications in psychiatry, geriatrics, and addiction medicine. My areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, cognitive disorders, and phase of life problems. I have also done individual and couples counseling for most of my career. I offer a highly individualized patient centered treatment that's whole person focused, not just illness centered. Most of my patients call me regarding advice they get from other health professionals for 2nd opinions because they trust my judgment. My office is also unique in that we offer a concierge type practice at no additional cost.

I specialize in whole-person care looking at emotional and physical wellbeing. Years of experience in multiple medical settings has allowed me to understand the interaction between mind and body. I take pride in the long relationship's I've had with most of my clients. My average client has been with me for more than 10+ years.

My primary emphasis is on educating all of my clients so they have a firm understanding of their treatment and what to expect. I try to evaluate their prior treatments and give them a road of how things should progress forward on either the current pathway or perhaps a new one based on their current level of functioning.
