Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alana Borden, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping children, teens, women, and families feel understood, supported, and empowered through life’s challenges. With more than 10 years of experience providing mental health services, I have supported children and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional struggles, life transitions, and relationship challenges with care, patience, and respect for each person’s story.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, and play therapy techniques to help clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create lasting change. I also understand that parenting can feel overwhelming, and I support families in building communication, connection, and understanding at home.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we talk about what is bringing you or your child to therapy and what you hope will feel different. We will explore current challenges, identify a few meaningful goals, and begin outlining a direction for care. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, comfortable, and clearer about next steps, with a sense that therapy can support growth, healing, and lasting progress.
