Great to meet you!

I can honestly say that I am honored to do the work that I do. I survived childhood cancer and have overcome many obstacles in my life that left me with a unique perspective, which emphasizes post-traumatic growth. As a second-generation meditation practitioner with degrees in contemplative psychology and social work, along with a 20-year background in nursing, I emphasize a holistic approach. I bring a deep sense of presence to my work and I will hold a safe and sacred space for you to be fully seen, heard, accepted, and supported just as you are. My philosophy is that you are the expert in your life and that therapy is not so much about giving advice, but more about acting as a mirror to remind you who you truly are.

My approach to therapy

I am always learning and expanding, as I am my own greatest experiment. I do my work so that I can help others to do theirs. I have a passion for working with expanded states of consciousness and integration. My practice utilizes motivational interviewing techniques, person-centered therapy, holistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, trauma-informed yoga, yoga Nidra, and principles of post-traumatic growth.

What you can expect from me

My overall goal for all people who I work with is for them to gain an understanding of the importance of self-love and self-compassion and begin to cultivate it within themselves trusting their own journey. We begin by getting to know each other and discussing your goals and expectations for therapy. As our work continues, you will practice applying what you discover in your sessions to your real life, using your newfound insights and skills. As time goes on, you will gain confidence as you experience yourself changing limiting beliefs and outdated patterns, eventually reaching the goals you initially set forth as you transform into a more authentic, healthy, and confident version of yourself.
