Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Alana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I'm passionate about helping people feel more understood, supported, and confident in navigating life's challenges. I have experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, substance use, and major life changes. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore what's holding you back, and build the tools you need to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a space where you feel safe enough to truly be yourself. Many of us move through life feeling like we have to hide parts of who we are, meet expectations, or adapt to the world around us, and therapy can be a place where you can reconnect with your authentic self. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and support as we explore your experiences and what matters most to you.

I value the therapeutic relationship and believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My work often focuses on understanding how past experiences and relationships shape the way we see ourselves and others, while creating space to work through shame, build self-compassion, and strengthen your sense of self. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, embrace who they are, and create a life that feels more aligned and authentic.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll begin getting to know you, your story, your experiences, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from this process. I’ll take time to understand the different pieces of your life while creating a space where you feel comfortable being open, honest, and yourself.

Together, we’ll start identifying patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be impacting how you feel and navigate the world today. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or like there are many things happening at once, and part of our work is slowing things down, making sense of what’s going on, and finding a place to begin. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what we can work toward together.
