Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Alba Hernandez, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work with adults and teens experiencing, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, and low self-esteem. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard while also helping you build practical skills that create lasting change. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to make each session collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be more than having someone listen. It should help you understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and make meaningful changes in your life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and attachment-focused strategies to help clients build emotional awareness, healthier coping skills, and greater confidence. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels safe while focusing on the goals that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you to therapy, learn about your background, and discuss the challenges you'd like to work on. We'll begin identifying your goals, and you'll have plenty of time to ask questions. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported from the very beginning.
