Great to meet you!

I’m Albert, a Licensed Psychotherapist with more than a decade of experience helping people navigate stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and self-doubt. I’ve worked across many settings, including foster care, hospitals, schools, and the justice system, supporting everyone from executives to unhoused individuals. These experiences taught me that pain and healing are part of being human, no matter who you are or where you come from.

Over the years, I’ve learned that being a good therapist isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up with humility and authenticity, recognizing that I’m human too. I’ve seen the humanness in every person I’ve worked with, and I believe that genuine connection, not perfection, is what makes healing possible.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and existential work. I use these tools to help people understand themselves, manage stress, and move toward growth and clarity. People often describe me as grounded, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I see therapy as a space to think freely, reflect deeply, and use our time together as an open journal for insight and change.

My approach to therapy

You’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that your own needs have been left behind. You’re ready to change that. You want to feel grounded, calm, and confident in your own skin again.

My approach is both practical and reflective. Together, we slow things down so you can understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. We explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity and care. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help you manage stress, challenge unhelpful thinking, and build a stronger relationship with yourself.

Honesty and vulnerability are at the heart of this work. We can’t go where we need to be if we don’t first know where we are. Therapy is not about being perfect. It is about being real. When you allow yourself to show up as you are, even with fear or uncertainty, you open the door to healing and growth. My role is to help you make sense of what you are carrying and guide you toward clarity, strength, and meaning.

This process is about helping you reconnect with yourself, quiet the inner critic, and live a life that feels balanced and true.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about comfort, connection, and understanding. You don’t need to prepare or know exactly what to say. We start with a relaxed conversation where you can share what has been on your mind and what brought you to therapy. My focus is on getting to know you as a person, not just a set of problems.

We’ll talk about what is working in your life, what feels heavy, and what you hope to change. I’ll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help us start identifying the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You’ll also have space to ask questions about the therapy process so you can feel clear and confident moving forward.

All sessions are held online for your convenience, using secure video, phone, or live chat options. This makes it easy to fit therapy into your schedule while creating a private, comfortable space from wherever you are in California.

My hope is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful. It’s the first step in building a relationship that supports your growth, healing, and clarity.
