Great to meet you!

When the same conversations keep ending in frustration, a relationship feels more distant than it used to, or you're struggling with depression or substance use while trying to hold everything together, it can be difficult to know what the next step should be. The good news is that lasting change is possible, and you don't have to figure it out alone. I provide virtual therapy for adolescents, adults, seniors, individuals, couples, and families throughout Texas. Many of the people I work with come to me for support with substance use, relationship issues, depression, and addiction, while also navigating anxiety, life transitions, grief, trauma, family conflict, and other emotional challenges that often develop alongside these concerns. With more than 24 years of clinical experience, my goal is to provide a thoughtful, supportive environment where you feel understood, regain hope, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported every step of the way. Together, we'll take time to understand what has brought you to therapy, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that help you move toward the life and relationships you want to build. You may have come to therapy because of difficulties in your relationship, struggles with substance use, depression, or addiction, only to realize those experiences are connected to anxiety, chronic stress, unresolved trauma, grief, family dynamics, or major life transitions. Rather than treating these challenges as separate problems, we'll explore how they influence one another so we can create meaningful change that addresses the whole person instead of just the symptoms. Depending on your goals, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help reshape unhelpful thinking patterns, Emotionally Focused Therapy to strengthen relationships, Gottman Method techniques to improve communication between couples, Family Systems Therapy to better understand relationship dynamics, Dialectical Behavior Therapy to build healthier coping skills, Motivational Interviewing to support lasting behavioral change, Solution Focused Therapy to identify practical next steps, or Narrative, Relational, Attachment Based, and Problem Solving approaches when they best fit your needs.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward therapy doesn't require having all the answers. During our first few sessions, we'll spend time understanding your story, identifying the challenges that matter most to you, and creating goals that reflect the future you want for yourself and your relationships. As we continue working together, you'll have a space where you can speak openly, explore new perspectives, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth outside of therapy. My hope is that you'll leave each session with greater clarity, renewed confidence, healthier relationships, and a stronger belief that meaningful change is possible. Whenever you're ready, I'd be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
