Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist (LPC-S) with a lifelong connection to the military community, having spent my entire life and career in that environment. Since 2014, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adults, and families through various transitions, including years spent as a Military and Family Life Counselor. My background also includes faith-based counseling, allowing me to integrate therapeutic tools with spiritual values when requested. Now, as I transition into my own private practice, I am dedicated to helping my clients build resilience and find practical solutions to life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is built on the belief that therapy is a tool, and since no two people are the same, I tailor my "toolbox" to fit your specific needs. I primarily utilize Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within a client-centered framework, ensuring that you always remain in control of your journey. I view our relationship as a partnership: I provide the guidance and clinical expertise, while you provide the commitment to the process. You can expect a collaborative environment where we focus on mindset shifts and practical actions that lead to real change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on building a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and empowered. I like to think of therapy as a workout; we introduce new things slowly, and as you feel stronger, we do a little more. My personal rule is that we never stay in the "deep" or uncomfortable places for too long—we always come back up for something lighter before we finish. You will likely leave our sessions with "homework" to keep your progress moving, and perhaps a few "Tina-isms" to think on until we meet again.
