Great to meet you!

My name is Albert Figueroa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience providing individual counseling to adolescents and adults. I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, and spirit in achieving overall well-being.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, substance use concerns, LGBTQ+ issues, men’s mental health, spiritual and faith-based concerns, goal setting, and weight management.

In addition to being a therapist, I am an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. For clients interested in improving their physical health alongside their mental well-being, I integrate evidence-based counseling techniques with fitness, behavior change, and lifestyle coaching to support sustainable weight management and overall wellness. My goal is to help clients build healthier habits, improve their emotional well-being, and create lasting, meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is individualized to meet each client’s unique needs, goals, and strengths. I utilize a combination of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and faith-based counseling when requested by the client.

I believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped with practical skills they can apply in their daily lives. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build resilience, overcome barriers, and create lasting, positive change.

As a bilingual therapist, I provide counseling services in both English and Spanish, creating a welcoming, culturally responsive environment where clients can express themselves in the language they feel most comfortable using.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current challenges, identify your strengths, and clarify the goals you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll develop a plan that is personalized to your needs and helps you move toward the life you want to create.

I strive to provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change. I invite you to take that first step. I look forward to helping you build a healthier, more fulfilling life.
