Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and experience working in hospitals, crisis settings, community mental health, and private practice. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, emotional dysregulation, attachment wounds, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges.

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and insight-oriented. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT-informed interventions, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and EMDR-informed trauma work to help clients better understand how their brain, nervous system, past experiences, and relationships shape their emotional world. I believe healing is not only about coping, but also about self-awareness, emotional safety, and reconnecting with yourself in a deeper way.

Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning individuals who appear “fine” externally while internally carrying anxiety, emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, trauma, or the pressure of constantly holding everything together for others. Therapy can become a space where you no longer have to suppress, perform, or navigate life’s challenges alone.

Clients often appreciate that therapy with me feels both supportive and transformative. I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can be fully human while also being gently challenged toward growth, accountability, emotional alignment, and healthier patterns. My goal is to help clients feel more empowered, emotionally regulated, self-aware, and connected to themselves while learning practical tools to navigate life differently.

My approach to therapy

Feeling emotionally overwhelmed while trying to keep everything together can be exhausting. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, stuck in survival mode, emotionally burned out, anxious, or struggling with relationship patterns they do not fully understand. My approach to therapy centers on creating a space where you feel emotionally safe, understood, supported, and gently challenged toward growth and healing.

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, insight-oriented, and culturally responsive lens. I integrate evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT-informed interventions, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and EMDR-informed trauma work to help clients better understand how their experiences, nervous system, and thought patterns influence emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I believe healing becomes more sustainable when clients not only process emotions, but also gain practical tools and self-awareness they can apply in everyday life.

Therapy with me is collaborative and individualized. I value authenticity and believe meaningful healing happens when clients are able to show up fully as themselves without fear of judgment. My goal is to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve boundaries, increase self-understanding, and develop healthier ways of navigating life, relationships, stress, and transitions.

Clients often appreciate that I balance warmth, compassion, and honesty within the therapeutic process. I am passionate about helping people move from simply surviving to feeling more grounded, empowered, emotionally aligned, and connected to themselves. If you are ready to begin deeper healing work while gaining insight and practical support, therapy can be a meaningful step forward.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, vulnerable, or even overwhelming, especially if you are used to carrying everything on your own. Your first session with me is designed to be a supportive, judgment-free space where you can begin showing up exactly as you are without pressure to have everything figured out.

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and exploring what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, emotional experiences, stressors, relationships, background, coping patterns, and goals for treatment. This process helps me better understand not only what you are experiencing, but also who you are beyond the challenges that brought you in.

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and insight-oriented. I understand that opening up can take time, so there is no expectation for you to share everything immediately. The first session is about creating emotional safety, building trust, and beginning to identify patterns, strengths, needs, and areas where healing and growth can occur. I also incorporate psychoeducation to help clients better understand how the brain, nervous system, stress, trauma, and emotional experiences can impact daily life and relationships.

Clients often leave the first session feeling heard, grounded, and more understood. My goal is for therapy to feel like a space where you can slow down, reflect, process, and reconnect with yourself in a healthier and more intentional way. Together, we will begin building a path toward greater emotional clarity, self-awareness, healing, and alignment within your life.
