My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I view therapy as a space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and without judgment. I draw from CBT, Narrative, Solution-focus, Strategic, Humanistic, Gestalt and Existential to help clients understand patterns, develop new skills, and connect with their strengths. I prioritize creating a safe, affirming, and culturally informed environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful change. My role is to support insight, foster resilience, and guide clients toward greater clarity, balance, and self-compassion

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a welcoming, structured conversation designed to help us get to know each other and begin building a sense of safety and trust. I’ll start by explaining how therapy works, including confidentiality, your rights as a client, and what you can expect from me. You’re welcome to ask questions at any point.

We’ll spend time talking about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope will be different. You don’t need to have the “perfect” words—just whatever feels comfortable to share. I’ll guide the conversation gently and at your pace.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of my style, how we might work together, and what the next steps look like. My intention is for you to leave the first meeting feeling heard, respected, and grounded in the knowledge that this is a space designed for your growth and well-being.
