Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Alejandra Ortiz, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Jersey City University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse age groups, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures, allowing me to provide culturally responsive and inclusive care. I specialize in working with complex trauma, adolescents, children, and marginalized communities. My experience includes supporting clients through issues related to immigration, systemic inequalities, and trauma. I have experience working with individual, family, group and play therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

I utilize a client-centered approach that is trauma-informed and strength-based, empowering individuals to heal and build resilience in a supportive and safe space. I am available for in-person and virtual.

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my cat, traveling and finding the perfect matcha latte!
