Alejandra Saavedra

I was born and raised in Venezuela where I completed my bachelors in psychodinamic clinical psychology and my master in mental health counselor. I moved to US, where I completed a Master in Marriage and Family therapy. Listening and helping others have been my passion.

As a marriage and family therapist, I have been working with couples and individuals with relationships challenges, my training as a systemic therapist help me to identify and to understand the unique dinamics within families.

I enjoy the psychodinamic approach, currently I am participating in two learning groups about psychoanalysis one it is about Freud's cases and the other is about Lacan lectures. I have a psychodinamic and sistemic approach to work with individuals and couples

The firts sessions are to know each other, we will have the time to listen, ask questios and to clarify them. I usually do not assign homework, however each case is unique and each approach will be shaped based on the patients needs. I enjoy working with adults and couples. I truly believe that each person and each couple have the freedom of decided what is the best for them, and based on that the treatment will be focused to help each of my patients to identify their own path.
