Great to meet you!

With over 15 years of experience in mental health, I provide compassionate, client-centered therapy focused on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based techniques, and trauma-informed care while tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique goals and experiences. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, practical, and focused on building long-term emotional resilience and personal growth.

My style is calm, direct, and supportive. I value honesty, accountability, and genuine human connection while helping clients identify patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. I have experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, men’s issues, stress, self-esteem concerns, grief, and challenges related to relationships and personal identity.

I believe seeking help is a sign of strength, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel empowered to grow at their own pace while knowing they are not facing life’s challenges alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect. I believe every individual has unique strengths and life experiences, and therapy should be tailored to meet each client’s personal goals, values, and needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) and have over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field across community mental health, crisis intervention, behavioral health, telehealth, and supportive counseling settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and severe mental health challenges. I also have experience supporting veterans, men’s mental health, and individuals navigating complex family or social stressors.

My therapeutic style is calm, direct, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. I focus on helping clients identify patterns, develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional awareness, and build resilience in a practical and meaningful way.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe and empowering space where clients can openly process challenges, gain insight, and work toward lasting personal growth at their own pace. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools that improve both emotional well-being and overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive, relaxed, and nonjudgmental conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy and what goals they hope to achieve. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming for some people, so I strive to create a safe environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

During the first session, we will discuss current concerns, personal history, stressors, relationships, coping strategies, and any past experiences with therapy or mental health treatment that may be relevant. I also take time to learn about a client’s strengths, values, and support systems rather than focusing only on problems or diagnoses.

Clients can expect me to ask thoughtful questions, listen actively, and work collaboratively to identify goals and develop a treatment approach that fits their individual needs. My style is calm, direct, compassionate, and practical, and I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely supported and involved in the process.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer understanding of how we may work together, what areas we may focus on moving forward, and a sense of whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for their needs and goals.
