I completed extensive undergraduate and graduate training in clinical psychology with a counseling application and am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have experience in all levels of acuity in mental health treatment.
My approach to therapy consists of using psychodynamic and interpersonal theory to build relationships with my clients that can help propel them to gather awareness, insight, and work on their ability to change.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the most important factor in healing, processing, and growth. My clients benefit from my ability to build rapport while also interweaving evidenced based practices in my sessions such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques.
