Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alessandra Shaaban, M.S., LPC, NCC, NCSC. I work with adolescents, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stressed, stuck, or just not like themselves. Whether you’re facing pressure at school, figuring out your next chapter, or juggling work and relationships, I’m here to help. My years as a school counselor and counseling program leader give me a real understanding of the pressures of growing up and the stress that follows into adulthood. I often help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, relationships, self-esteem, identity, and life transitions, as well as trauma, grief, family conflict, self-harm, and substance use.

My approach to therapy

I keep therapy warm, down-to-earth, and focused on what actually helps. Using proven methods, I’ll help you build practical tools for stress and big emotions and understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, whether you want hands-on strategies, space to talk, or both. Clients often say sessions feel meaningful and comfortable, with room to laugh, too. Whether you’re 14 or 54, my goal is to help you feel calmer, more confident, and ready for whatever life brings. For younger clients, I can involve parents while still protecting your private space.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling hard, and what you’d like to change. I’ll ask some questions about your life, like school or work, relationships, and any past therapy, but you decide how much you share. There are no wrong answers.
