Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Alex and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing in the field for five years. I received a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College, with a Certificate in Mental Health & Trauma.

I have a wide range of experience in different levels of care with diverse populations including Inpatient Behavioral Health, In-Home Therapy and Intensive Care Coordination with children/adolescents (ages 5-20) and their families, and Outpatient Therapy, both short- and long-term with individuals ages of all ages. I have also facilitated in piloting a Short-Term Outpatient Therapy Program in Framingham Massachusetts in 2022.

I work with individuals of all ages and utilizes a solution-focused and trauma-informed approach, which emphasizes a persons’ intrinsic strengths and empowerment of the individual. I am an EMDR Therapist, having completed 40 hours of training (lecture and practicum) and 10 hours of additional consultation, supporting individuals in re-processing traumatic incidents and challenging core beliefs.

I can also support individuals looking for mindset and performance focus within their own athletic endeavors, of any sport or hobby, but specifically within the community of rock climbing and alpinism (having been a climber myself for over 10 years).

My approach to therapy

I utilize a solution-focused and trauma-informed approach, which emphasizes a persons’ intrinsic strengths and empowerment of the individual. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and is committed to supporting each person as they navigate healing and self-discovery. Seeking therapy can be a vulnerable step and my priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where each person can be their authentic self.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused in understanding what brings you to therapy, some history that may also be relevant, and answering any questions you may have about this process. We can dive right in or take a slower approach, depending on your needs. This is also where we can determine if I am a good fit for you, which is a very important piece of this process as therapy is focused on the client (you!).

Whether you are looking for support in a transition, processing trauma, or even working towards a sport/athletic specific goal, it is an honor to support you in your journey.
