Great to meet you!

I understand that reaching out for mental health care can feel like a big step, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to matters. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and know that your concerns are being taken seriously.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I work with individuals dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood changes, sleep difficulties, and other mental health concerns.

My approach is practical, collaborative, and individualized. I want to understand what is actually happening in your day-to-day life—not simply check off a list of symptoms. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and what you hope to get out of treatment.

When medication is appropriate, I believe in explaining the options clearly so that you understand what you’re taking, why we’re considering it, and what to expect. Treatment is a partnership, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about your care.

Ultimately, my goal is simple: to help you feel better, function better, and get back to living your life with greater confidence and stability.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, practical, and centered around you as an individual. I take the time to listen and understand what you’re experiencing, how it is affecting your daily life, and what you would like to change.

I believe treatment should be a partnership. Rather than simply prescribing medication, I explain treatment options, discuss the benefits and potential risks, and involve you in decisions about your care. When medication is appropriate, my goal is to find the most effective option while avoiding unnecessary medications whenever possible.

I also look beyond symptoms and consider sleep, relationships, work or school, stress, physical health, and other factors that may be affecting your mental well-being. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and being an active participant in your treatment.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to care. I’ll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, sleep, daily routines, and how these challenges are affecting your life.

I want the conversation to feel comfortable, not rushed or like an interrogation. You’ll have plenty of time to share your concerns and ask questions. We’ll discuss what you hope to accomplish with treatment and review potential options together.

By the end of the visit, my goal is for you to have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms and a treatment plan that makes sense for you. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss the options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and next steps before making a decision together.
