As a licensed clinical social worker with clinical experience in healthcare and with family systems, I have chosen to direct my practice towards folks with chronic disease and people who are close to them as I believe these populations often do not receive enough support around their experiences.
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that addresses short and long-term goals is often an effective way to move through issues. I like to focus on desired outcomes for clients feel that offering an objective perspective can be supportive in making progress.
My goal in treatment is to address the symptoms and root causes of mental health symptoms by supporting clients in developing their understanding of their issues, as well as how to manage them. This includes developing coping skills, and communication skills.
