Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Alex Zobel, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, my journey into counseling was inspired by my love for learning, art, and helping others, shaped by my diverse background in journalism, music composition, and psychotherapy. I specialize in supporting teens, adults and families, particularly those dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and life transitions. Outside of sessions, I enjoy writing songs, cooking, and spending time in nature, which fuels my commitment to creating a safe, creative space for my clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is dynamic and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic principles, Gestalt therapy, EMDR, and Synergetic Play Therapy. I incorporate somatic practices and neuroscience to help balance the nervous system and promote healing. Together, we’ll explore, heal, and build meaningful changes at a pace that suits you, fostering integration and well-being.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools to navigate their challenges. You’ll gain greater self-awareness, resilience, and healthy coping strategies tailored to your needs, using somatic and EMDR techniques. My goal is for you to feel empowered, with a clearer sense of direction and improved emotional balance, all while building a stronger foundation for your well-being at your own pace.
