Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alexa, founder of Piece of Happiness Therapy & Wellness and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in eating disorders, body image, maternal mental health, ADHD, and anxiety, and I take a strengths-based, Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to care.

I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and have advanced training in eating disorders, allowing me to support individuals through some of the most complex and vulnerable stages of life. From navigating motherhood to rebuilding a relationship with food and body.

My approach to therapy

As both a therapist and Pilates instructor, I integrate the mind–body connection into my work, helping clients not only understand their thoughts and emotions, but also reconnect with their bodies in a safe, supportive way. My approach blends clinical expertise with practical tools, including nervous system regulation, breathwork, and body awareness. I believe that healing is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about strengthening your sense of self, building confidence, and creating a life that feels aligned and sustainable. My goal is to provide a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you at your pace.

We’ll start by exploring what brought you in, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your history, current stressors, and patterns, but this is not an interrogation, it’s a collaborative conversation.

You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you don’t have to have everything “figured out” before you walk in. My role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and begin identifying meaningful, realistic goals.

Together, we’ll start to outline a direction for our work. Whether that’s improving your relationship with food or your body, managing anxiety or ADHD symptoms, navigating motherhood, or building a stronger sense of self. I’ll also begin introducing practical tools you can use right away, especially around emotional regulation and the mind–body connection.

Most importantly, the first session is about building a foundation of trust and making sure you feel comfortable, supported, and understood.
