Great to meet you!

I knew at a young age that I wanted to become a psychologist. I have always been interested in dream analysis and understanding the subconscious mind. I attained an MA and PhD in clinical psychology as soon as I graduated from college and later completed a two-year program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy to further my clinical skills. I have worked in various treatment settings, including a college counseling center, an outpatient clinic, an inpatient hospital unit, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

My work with people is based on the premise that psychic pain is caused by the meanings that are given to events and how the events are organized in your mind. I will use the therapeutic relationship to help you become more aware of your expectations about other people and to help you learn more about how you view yourself. I will listen with a nonjudgmental attitude, to understand the full meanings of your communications and how your patterns of viewing the yourself and the world developed.

What you can expect from me

Through this process, you will be able to perceive things more clearly and gain a greater sense of security; this greater sense of security will lead to increased self-confidence, decreased anxiety, and greater enjoyment in life. You will also gain a more objective view of yourself and people around you.
