Great to meet you!

"Are you "powering through" your day only to feel completely exhausted and disconnected when it’s over?

Burnout starts with exhaustion, but it rarely stops there. Left unchecked, it can lead to a deep sense of isolation, leaving you feeling like no one truly understands the weight you’re carrying. This often spirals into depression, anxiety and substance abuse, making it even harder to manage the demands of ADHD or the habits—like substance use—that we sometimes use to cope.

Before becoming a therapist, I practiced family law for 20 years. My experience taught me how to ask the hard questions in a way that is respectful and caring. I know from experience that professionals often feel they have to keep up a "mask" of competency, even when they are struggling internally. In our work together, we drop the mask and embrace reality.

I specialize in helping professionals navigate the intersection of burnout and mental health. If we can improve self-honesty and communication, we can develop the insight needed to stop the cycle of isolation and support positive and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is active, goal-oriented, and solution-focused. I recognize that for many people, the biggest barrier to change is the "mask" of competency we feel forced to wear. Having practiced family law for 20 years, I bring a unique perspective to our sessions. I understand the high-stakes environments and high-pressure lives we lead. I specialize in treating the "hidden" side of success: burnout that has spiraled into isolation, depression, or anxiety. My work frequently addresses adult ADHD and addiction (dual diagnosis), focusing on how these challenges impact your executive functioning and sense of self.

Clinical Frameworks & Populations:

  • Executive Functioning Strategies: For clients with ADHD, we focus on practical coping systems for time management, organization, and emotional regulation to reduce work-related stress.
  • Insight-Oriented Change: We work to identify the root causes of isolation and burnout, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Person-Centered techniques to bridge the gap between being 'high-functioning' and feeling truly balanced.
  • Education: I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and maintain my license as an LMHC in Florida. I also continue to hold my license as an attorney in Florida, though I am no longer active.

My mission is to help you bridge that gap. You don't have to sacrifice your humanity to maintain your position, and you don't have to be an "underachiever" to remain honest. I help professionals—the counselors, the executives, the architects of our world—reclaim the brilliance that high-pressure environments tend to dim. We work together to build a life that is successful by your standards, not just the world’s.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on shifting from "just getting by" to building a roadmap for change. We will explore the summation of your life experiences—the events that have shaped who you are today and, more importantly, the specific pressures currently holding you back from your 'true self.' I bring experience, perspective and a strong belief that real change must be based on defined and measurable action.

By the end of our first hour, we will have accomplished three things:

  • A Shared Understanding: We’ll identify the primary obstacles currently blocking your path to being a more effective, happier "you."
  • Clear Objectives: We will establish a set of short-term therapy goals so you leave with a sense of direction rather than just more questions.
  • The Therapeutic Connection: We will determine if our partnership feels like a safe, honest space where you can finally drop the "mask" and begin the real work of transformation.

While I bring firmness and commitment, I also bring warmth, humor and more than a few stories along the way. I help busy professionals peel back the mask of burnout and isolation to reclaim their well-being.
