Great to meet you!

Welcome to my Practice! As a first generation half-Iranian and half-Vietnamese-American Physician who grew up in the San Francisco East Bay of Northern California, I have a lot of multicultural influences from my family and community. This has helped me understand and relate to people of various ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds enabling me to build therapeutic rapports with many.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Motivational interviewing, and Supportive/ Positive psychology for psychotherapy. I have several years of experience working for Kaiser Permanente in Oakland and Mindful Health Solutions in Walnut Creek. This has given me a lot of exposure in treating patients of various backgrounds which has familiarized me with different modalities of treatment and allows me to make referrals for interventional treatments when clinically appropriate.

What you can expect from our first session

As a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist hearing out others and understanding what symptoms they consider most impairing to them is an important part of my personal practice. Helping people develop insight, cultivate resilience and nurture a healthier self-inner monologue through a combination of time-limited psychotherapy and medication management, if indicated, are my main modalities of treatment.
