Great to meet you!

My hope is that you leave our conversations feeling a little better than when you came in, with a better understanding of yourself, answers to questions you didn't know you had, or maybe even better questions to ask. Throughout my career, I've worked in a variety of settings, from community-based social work and private practice to managing inpatient treatment programs. I've supported people navigating addiction, trauma, relationship difficulties, major life changes, and the many other challenges that can bring someone to therapy You don't have to know exactly what you're looking for to get started. I'm a big believer in striking while the iron is hot. If something is telling you it's time to talk to someone, I'd love to help you explore what that might mean. Let's get you scheduled. Now booking sessions with adult men, women, and anybody in between!

My approach to therapy

I tend to adapt my approach to the person I'm working with, drawing from different therapeutic methods such as CBT, REBT, and DBT, I align with my client's goals, and where they are in the process. If you are looking to stop a bad habit, change the way you view something, maybe even change the way you feel about something - I can't promise you that I possess a magic button that I could press for you and make it so. I can however help you find that button. I'm big on making actionable goals with you, including practice skills to try daily. Sometimes that means sitting with something difficult; other times, it's about making connections, looking at things from a different perspective, or finding a little humor in the middle of a hard day.

What you can expect from me

I want our sessions to feel natural, like you can show up as yourself and we can figure things out together. You don't have to have the right words, know where to start, or have everything figured out before you begin. In our first appointment, I will conduct a brief bio-psychosocial interview with you; I want to get a picture of you across various times in your life. Therapy can be a lot like going on a journey into the unknown - you get to be the driver. I am here to simply accompany you as a sort of guide at times, reflecting mirror at others. We will be constructing the map as we go, and use our time together in treatment to navigate from point A to point B on that map.
