Great to meet you!

I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I want the process to feel as comfortable and genuine as possible. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works primarily with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, family stress, and major life changes.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I’m not here to judge or tell you how to live your life. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what you’re going through, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and find practical ways to help you feel more like yourself again.

I earned my Master of Social Work from UTRGV and have additional training in trauma-informed care and EMDR. Most importantly, I want my clients to feel like they can show up as they are and know they have someone in their corner.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves without worrying about judgment or saying the “right” thing. We’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work together toward changes that feel realistic and meaningful.

I use a trauma-informed approach and incorporate techniques from EMDR, CBT, and other evidence-based practices based on each client’s needs. I especially enjoy working with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, family stress, and major life transitions. Therapy with me is supportive but also goal-focused—I want you to leave sessions feeling understood while also gaining tools you can actually use in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know you and what brought you to therapy. I want it to feel comfortable, conversational, and free of judgment—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll talk about what has been going on, what you hope will be different, and what you would like to get out of therapy.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and creating a plan that feels realistic for your life. You can expect me to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you make sense of patterns or experiences that may be affecting you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer idea of what we can work on together.
