Alexandra Courtien

I am a dually certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 10 years and prior to that, as a registered nurse for 5 years. I attended Pace University for both of my master's programs. I have an extensive background in pain management as well as the mental struggles that come along with chronic pain. I work with patients to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, pregnancy/post-partum related issues, as well as many other areas. I treat patients 17 and older.

I believe in a patient-centered approach to treatment and engage in active discussions about what the patient would like to achieve from treatment while also offering professional recommendations and guidance. I have a passion for holistic treatment modalities and believe that the best outcomes are achieved by incorporating several approaches.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment in order to facilitate trust and the therapeutic relationship to achieve best outcomes together. Patients should expect to leave our sessions feeling heard and understood as well as being confident in our treatment plan.
