Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Alexandra Hollander and I have been practicing for 6 years, both in community mental health, working with College students, and in private practice. Born and raised in Germany and having lived in several different countries, I understand cultural differences and different sociocultural factors that has provided me with knowledge and experiences that will help improve the wellness of my clients.

My approach to therapy

I'm qualified in person-centered, strengths-focused, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral therapies and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention).

What you can expect from me

Starting treatment takes courage because you're facing a lot of different emotions, or you are worried that nobody understands what you're going through. Our sessions will always be judgment-free and I understand that the first step to make changes can be difficult. I will work hard to create a safe space for you so you can be 100% yourself. Treatment will reduce overall frequency, intensity, and duration of anxiety so it no longer interferes with daily functioning. It also will help understand that fears and worries typically involve excessive concern over unrealistic threats. My goal is to highlight your unique gifts, and lead you to solutions that work for you in your life.
