Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with children, adults, and the elderly across a wide range of life circumstances. My work spans ages 2 to 90, and I have supported clients through trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, caregiver stress, refugee transitions, family violence, and the complex dynamics of living within and honoring multiple cultures. I bring deep expertise in multigenerational family issues, aging and end-of-life concerns, and the unique challenges that come with holding multiple cultural identities. I am committed to meeting each person where they are — without judgment — and building on their existing strengths.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, trauma therapy, acceptance-based therapy, exposure therapy, behavioral therapy, and patient-centered and multigenerational frameworks — and I am comfortable drawing from any of them depending on what serves you best. My approach is always strengths-based, focused on building the skills you need to cope with life's challenges and regulate your emotions. I can be directive when that's helpful, or I can follow your lead — the goal is yours to set, and my job is to listen and support you in getting there. I evaluate for previous trauma and risk as part of understanding the full picture of where you are today.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will start where you are — there is no agenda you need to arrive with, and no pressure to have everything figured out. I will listen carefully and without judgment as you share what has brought you in and what feels most important to address. Together we will begin to identify your goals and the direction you want our work to take. My focus from the very first meeting is on understanding your strengths and what you are already carrying so we can build from there.
