Great to meet you!

If anxiety, stress or life changes are impacting or interfering with your daily life and functioning, we can talk through what is happening and explore what could help. In my practice, I work with adult clients who are coping with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, chronic and life-threatening illness, substance use and grief/loss. I have found that some clients benefit from a supportive approach and others from more active approaches. We will work together to tailor my approach to your needs.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm and supportive, and I believe in meeting my clients where they are. Although, my approach is rooted in the principles of person-centered therapy, I use a combination of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, behavioral activation, and mindfulness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and what you hope to improve or change. This will be an opportunity for you to get a feel for my style and approach to see if I seem to be a good fit for you. If you decide to continue with me, then we can collaborate on next steps. Making the decision to seek help and support is not always easy, and I applaud you for having the courage to take the first steps.
