Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Alexandra Murphy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work. I am licensed in NY and NJ. I specialize in helping clients struggling with life transitions, anxiety, and depression, and am highly experienced in working with survivors of sexual assault.

Taking the first step toward seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, but the act of reaching out takes a lot of courage. Let's work together to heal and strengthen yourself and find the best version of you.

My approach to therapy

My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can truly feel heard without judgment. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma (especially sexual assault and past childhood sexual abuse), life transitions, and career change.

What you can expect from me

Whether you are navigating a specific life transition, managing overwhelming stress, or seeking to deepen your self-understanding, I am here to work with you to achieve your therapy goals. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. I tailor my approach to your needs using evidence-based modalities or psychodynamic approaches.
