Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

My name is Lexie, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I founded Still Waters Psychiatric Mental Health, LLC with a passion for helping individuals and families find peace, healing, and hope through evidence-based psychiatric care and compassionate therapy.

I provide both therapy and medication management with a strong emphasis on a holistic, client-centered approach. I specialize in working with children (ages 6–17), young adults (18–35), and pregnant/postpartum mothers—offering support through challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and perinatal mental health concerns.

My training has equipped me to treat the whole person while honoring each individual's story, values, and cultural background. I use a range of therapeutic techniques, including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and supportive psychotherapy, and I always aim to create a safe, trusting space where you feel heard and empowered.

Whether you're seeking support for your child, navigating young adulthood, or facing the emotional complexities of motherhood, I’m here to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

At Still Waters Psychiatric Mental Health, my approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. I believe mental health care should feel safe, supportive, and empowering.

I take time to truly listen and understand your concerns, symptoms, strengths, and goals. From there, we work together to create a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, medication management, lifestyle support, or a combination of these.

I specialize in a holistic, trauma-informed approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the underlying stressors and life experiences that may be contributing to your struggles. Whether I’m working with a child, a teen, a young adult, or a pregnant/postpartum mom, my goal is to help you feel heard, seen, and equipped with the tools to move forward.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can happen at your pace and in a way that feels right for you.

My goal is for every client to leave our sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered. Whether we’re exploring difficult emotions, processing past trauma, or managing anxiety and depression, I strive to create a calm, judgment-free space where you feel safe to be yourself.

Clients often tell me they appreciate the gentle, collaborative environment I create, where they don’t feel rushed or pressured, and where their values and preferences guide the treatment process.
