Great to meet you!

I have been working in the mental health field for over 12 years and am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico, and went on to receive my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2013.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including outpatient services for individuals with severe mental health conditions, inpatient and outpatient addictions treatment, geriatric mental health, and community mental health. I also have extensive experience working with justice-involved individuals and understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating the legal system alongside mental health and substance use concerns.

I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe and supported. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you build the tools you need to thrive.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is person-centered and collaborative—I work alongside you to explore your goals, strengths, and challenges at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, managing a mental health condition, or healing from past experiences, I tailor our work to meet your unique needs.

I draw from evidence-based practices and emphasize building insight, developing coping skills, and fostering resilience. I also believe that healing happens in the context of connection—both within ourselves and with others—which is why I prioritize creating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, clients can expect to gain greater self-awareness, practical tools for managing life’s challenges, and a deeper sense of empowerment. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, capable, and connected—to yourself and to others.

You can expect to leave sessions with:

  • Clarity and insight into your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior
  • Personalized coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or substance use
  • Improved communication skills and healthier relationship dynamics
  • Support and accountability as you work toward your goals
  • A nonjudgmental space where your experiences are respected and your strengths are recognized

Therapy is not always easy, but it can be a powerful space for healing and growth. I’ll meet you with compassion and honesty, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you. Whether you're navigating a mental health diagnosis, working through trauma, rebuilding after addiction, or simply looking to better understand yourself, our sessions will focus on helping you make meaningful and lasting change.
