Great to meet you!

First and foremost, I am just another imperfect human doing my best to show up for others on their journey. Yes, I have 20+ years of experience as a mental health therapist, but my accumulated, informed life experience of many more year's is what tempers what I know therapeutically with lived experience. My background spans private practice, chronic and severe mental illness, addiction treatment settings, hospice and palliative care, and forensic settings, including county jail and state prison. The breadth of this work has allowed me to focus on all types of trauma, anxiety, depression and the shifting realities of life's challenges.

We all face challenges; the question is: How do we move through them gracefully?

That is the work we do together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is participatory, solution oriented, and empowering. I meet you where you are, and we move at your pace.

Therapy is a collaborative effort - both of us showing up is the first step. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you, offer perspective, help you see patterns more clearly, and support your capacity to make choices aligned with who you are becoming.

I believe you have strengths, wisdom and resilience already within you. My job is to help you access and trust it.

What you can expect from me

The first encounter is our opportunity to see how and if we "click".

Your comfort matters.

I'll spend time learning about what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to adjust, explore or untangle. You are welcome to ask me anything that helps you determine whether I am the right fit.

I often tell clients, " I hold the flashlight, but you drive the boat!

Meaning: I'm here to illuminate, support and help guide you - but you remain the author and authority of your life.
