Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a passion for helping individuals untangle the complexities of mental health, trauma, and personal growth (aka: the beautiful mess of being human). I hold a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, a combo that gives me a deep understanding of both human behavior and the systems that impact our lives.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating mood and anxiety disorders (such as depression, bipolar disorder, and generalized anxiety), trauma and PTSD, OCD, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders like schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. I also support those who want to incorporate faith into their healing process. If that’s your thing, we can absolutely make space for it.

My style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to you. I’ll challenge you when needed, but always with compassion, and just enough humor to help lighten the load when things feel especially heavy. Therapy doesn’t have to be cold or clinical; it can be real, honest, and occasionally involve laughing through the mess.

If you're ready to dive into the messy, meaningful stuff, I’m here to support you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, client-centered, and trauma-informed, grounded in compassion but also open-minded, creative, and not afraid to throw in a little humor. Therapy should feel like a real, meaningful conversation, not a stiff or one-sided exchange, so I aim to balance structure with authenticity. I use DBT and CBT to offer practical tools you can actually use in daily life, Narrative Therapy to help you rewrite the stories that no longer serve you, and humor when it fits, because, let’s be honest, sometimes laughing is part of the healing. Whether you're navigating severe mental illness, working through trauma, or just trying to make sense of this whole “being human” thing, I’m here to support you in healing, growing, and moving forward, challenging you when needed, but always without judgment.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can feel a bit like cleaning out a closet; you might uncover things you forgot about, realize what you’re ready to let go of, and maybe even find a few gems. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and what life’s been throwing your way (because let’s be honest, sometimes it throws a lot). I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of your story, but no need to unpack the whole suitcase right away; we can take it one item at a time.

You’re welcome to ask me anything, too. This is a space for honesty, curiosity, and probably a little laughter along the way. My goal? To help you feel heard, supported, and maybe even a little lighter by the end.
