Great to meet you!

Hello everyone! I'm Alexia Gonzalez, MA, LPC, and I'm happy to have you here! I received my BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2019 and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2022. I currently specialize in trauma: childhood abuse, partner abuse, emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I view therapy as an adventure that the two of us will embark on. I'm the skilled adventurer, and you're the one who knows where we're going. My goal is to share my knowledge and skills with you, so that you can feel more prepared for the other journeys and adventures that life will send you on.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and sometimes humorous environment, where clients can feel comfortable being exactly who they are at any given point. I challenge my clients to rise and meet the trials of life by finding their confidence and power within themselves, which can sometimes feel daunting, but I offer these challenges warmly, with kindness, care, and compassion.
