Hey yall, my name is Alexis Anderson, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adolescents, families, and couples. I've been in the mental health field for 6.5 years after receiving my education from both Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY and Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX.
I am passionate about the health of the family and love working with blended families, co-parenting families, and single parent homes.
I use a collaborative approach in therapy allowing my clients to be the expert of their lives and families while bringing my education and expertise in family systems. My hope is that together we can work to strengthen the relationships within the family while identifying strengths and areas of growth for all parties involved for the betterment of the family as a whole. The method of therapy I typically lean on is Solution Focused Therapy.
My number one goal is to restore the health of the family and every individual involved while reconnecting each member back to the family as a whole. I believe that if our children learn how to love, have healthy conflict, and reconnect after we will see generational patterns broken and family health will improve in America.
